Johnny Finishes 25th at Richmond
Problems plagued Johnny and the #23 Bill
Davis Racing team throughout the Kroger 200 at Richmond
International Speedway. Issues in the right front area
would not allow the tire to be drawn in tight. They were forced to make two
unscheduled pit stops under green flag conditions, putting
Johnny 5 laps down. Ted Musgrave won the event.

Johnny Starts 21st at Richmond
After struggling in the Truck
Series practice session with a time of 22.479 at a speed of
120.112 mph, Johnny's time put him 40th out of 46 trucks.
Johnny's comments during the practice session included:
"I am
just trying to get a hold of it, it feels like ice out
here." AND "I just about backed it into the fence. It feels
like the rear end is out of it by a half an inch."
Changes were made and Johnny
improved on his time to earn the 21st starting position with
a time of 21.825 at a speed of 123.711 mph. Jamie
McMurray earned the pole with a time of 21.525. The
qualifying times are tight around the Richmond track - a
time of 21.725 would be 8th fastest! There are 10
trucks who did not qualify for the race.
