#10 Valvoline Pontiac driver Johnny Benson will have his work cut out for him Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Benson starts 40th of the 43 cars in the field on the flat 1.5-mile oval.

"We certainly have a lot of cars to pass," Benson said. "But James has some pit strategy that I think will have us up front before the day is over. I think we will be better than what we showed today. We found some stuff before qualifying that we didn't have a chance to work on too much this morning. So I think you will see us be a lot better Sunday."

Benson is joined at the back of the pack by some very good drivers. Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick and Bobby Labonte are all at the back of the pack and expected to drive up through the field with Benson.

"It should be entertaining to say the least," he said. "Passing is tough so you have to be both cautious and aggressive."

Benson and his Valvoline teammates will practice for two 45-minute sessions Saturday morning then race on Sunday.

Rain is expected on Saturday.
