JB Fans,
Finally! A Craftsman truck race weekend is here!
I need to start with a Happy Birthday to my dad! Met him
for lunch before heading to the airport.
As you know my past flight experiences have not gone as
well as I have liked - so I hope I am leaving in plenty
of time. Talked to the NWA agent - he mentioned to me
that there was a gentleman who works for Goodyear
heading to the Truck race. I guess he lives in Michigan.
So I might head to the Goodyear truck to introduce
myself.
I hope to provide you with some insights for the
weekend. The IRL cars will be in Kansas too - so it will
be interesting to see the Danica mania that might follow
her after her 1st win.
Kansas is another girl's weekend. I have two friends
from Wisconsin meeting me in Kansas. Why do I share
this? Well one of my friends just happened to have grown
up with the crew chief of the #51 Toytota Tundra. So,
you may ask - am I over Martinsville? Not so much. They
say time heals all wounds - but there has not been
enough time. But we are going to try and put out best
foot forward. Maybe the best news is that their driver
has decided to take the "weekend off". Both of my
friends have been put on alert when we are by the truck
- ha!
Speaking of Martinsville ... again thank you for your
support of JB! I have received so many positive emails.
Many of you wrote sponsors about your displeasure and
even NASCAR. Some fans looked to me to lead the charge.
Unfortunately, I won't do that as I feel we need to
concentrate on cheering harder for JB to bring him
better luck - you know those rose color glasses. I do
have an idea that I am kicking around - but I am not
going to share until after the Charlotte race.
I'm looking forward to the race. You must admit that JB
has been competitive every race so far this year. That
has been fun. Now we just need to change his luck. I see
that there is a debate on this particular truck - but I
really need to be hanging out in victory lane so the
luck has to change!
I think I have rambled on enough ... The good news is
that my hotel has wireless - so I hope to blog through
the weekend ...
