Drivers Added to Lineup
Three more NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series drivers
have committed to be part of the
‘Craftsman For a Cure’ on
Tuesday, May 23 at NASCAR SpeedPark in Concord, N.C. Tickets
are on sale now.
Kasey Kahne, Brian Vickers and former NEXTEL Cup champion
Kurt Busch have been added to the driver lineup which
already includes a variety of drivers from the NASCAR NEXTEL
Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck Series.
Vickers will host a
private dinner meeting with 20 fans, while Kahne and
Busch will race with fans on the go-kart tracks. Kahne
will also sign autographs for the fans. (Schedules are
at the bottom).
‘Craftsman For a Cure’ – a charity event hosted by Craftsman Motorsports
and Bobby Hamilton Racing – will give race fans the
opportunity to meet and race fender-to-fender with some
of their favorite NASCAR drivers while also helping out
two very important charities, the American Cancer
Society Relay for Life and the Victory Junction Gang
Camp.
“I am so honored and grateful
to everyone who has stepped
up to help make 'Craftsman For A Cure' a success,” said
former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Bobby
Hamilton, who is battling head and neck cancer. “I am
one of thousand who are battling this disease and
perhaps the efforts of all these NASCAR drivers will
help raise awareness for this disease and provide
funding to assist all the others who are battling the
disease.
“This is a great opportunity for NASCAR fans who are
going to be in Charlotte on May 23 to come out to race
or meet more than 25 NASCAR drivers and raise money for
a great cause.”
